Brilliant Royal Mail

Today I am mostly thinking how amazing our postal service is.

I have received a letter from a magistrates' court that has our name mis-spelt, gives the wrong street with no building number at all, lacks any mention of the city and has no post code on it.

Yet some how Royal Mail have managed to deliver it to us within a week of its being posted!

  1. Ah yes, the royal mail are very good at determining incomplete addresses, heard stories of addresses like "Bill Bryson, Writer, England" actually finding their destination, if not amazingly quickly.

Pretty good value for your stamp I think!

  2. Indeed, very commendable. However the opposite is rather more likely these days, letters delivered to an address that bears no relation to that printed on the envelope.
